Leadership to the staff and volunteers of IJM Canada is provided by the Board of Directors and the Executive Director, who seek to implement in our Canadian context the global direction set by the leaders of IJM.
Ed Wilson is IJM Canada's Executive Director. In this role, Ed provides strategic and visionary leadership to the mission and vision of IJM in Canada, in order to rescue victims of violence and protect the poor by strengthening their justice systems. Prior to becoming Executive Director, Ed served as Chief Operating Officer for eight years, during which time he helped lead IJM Canada's dramatic growth in revenue and impact.

Ed is passionately committed to IJM’s mission and vision. He believes that each person, working as part of the greater collective, has the potential to help achieve this vision by speaking and acting against injustice. Ed’s motto is "great ideas with great execution can change the world.” For many years, he pursued his dream of a community of activists committed to societal transformation through the churches that he led in Southern Ontario. Immediately prior to joining IJM Canada, he served as a founding Board member and first Executive Director of Heartwood Place in Kitchener, Ontario, a non-profit organization providing safe, affordable and adequate housing to individuals and families in need. In 2004, Heartwood Place was honoured by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation with a National Housing Award for Best Practices.
Ed holds a B.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of Western Ontario, and a B.Ed. from Queen's University in Kingston. Ed and his wife Judy live in London, Ontario and are parents to three adult children and grandparents to three.
Glenn Waterman is IJM Canada's Vice-President of Development and Marketing. In this role, Glenn is responsible for further developing IJM Canada's community of support and expanding the reach of IJM Canada's message.

Prior to joining IJM Canada, Glenn spent fifteen years honing his skills in non-profit marketing. For over nine years he was the Director of Development at The Leprosy Mission Canada (TLMC). During that time he led his team in a broad range of fundraising initiatives that supported the Mission in its growth and development both within Canada and abroad.
Prior to joining TLMC, he worked at World Vision Canada as the Director of Face-to-Face Marketing, in which he oversaw the 30 Hour Famine, Church Relations, Volunteer Relations and Destination Life Change.
Glenn is a graduate of the Masters of Business Administration program at Schulich School of Business and completed undergraduate studies in business administration at Wilfrid Laurier University. He holds the designation of Certified Fund Raising Executive and is a certified Birkman Consultant.
Glenn and his wife Nancy live in London Ontario and have two daughters.
Kevin has an undergraduate degree from the University of Windsor, and a Master of Divinity degree from Huron University College at the University of Western Ontario. He also holds a certificate in Organization Development through the NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Science in Washington DC.

The mission of NTL is to advance applied behavioral science in the service of social justice, oppression-free societies, and healthy individuals, groups and organizations in the world.
For twenty-eight years Kevin provided pastoral leadership to Anglican churches in Ontario and British Columbia, most recently as Dean at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, Ontario. Kevin has led a number of important social justice ministries. While in Vancouver, Kevin co-founded the From Grief to Action Society to address drug issues in the lower mainland of British Columbia.
His passionate concern for human dignity led to his involvement with the Cristosal Foundation which takes a rights-based approach to community development in El Salvador. In that role he served as a member of the executive committee and initiated a project that led to the construction of a community centre and worship space that is a safe refuge in an area of El Salvador prone to seasonal flooding. He also established a network of North American base communities to support the ongoing work of the Foundation in El Salvador.
Kevin has served as chair to the board of directors of the Daily Bread Food Bank and Fellowship Centre in London, Ontario. He was a founder of London’s Multi-Faith Social Action Coalition, and has worked through a Citizens’ Advocacy Panel to address issues of income disparity in the city. He launched Brio Music, an afterschool program at St. Paul’s Cathedral to provide free music education and esteem building for at-risk children.
Kevin is a vocal advocate for holistic stewardship as a spiritual discipline in the short span of life entrusted to us. He believes that how we use our abilities and money is a measurable indicator of our personal spiritual health.
Kevin lives in London and enjoys riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Bill Adsit has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and numerous courses from his 35 years with the Federal Government. He served with the Canadian Armed Forces, Transport Canada, Revenue Canada and Industry Canada.

Lee was born and raised in New England and completed her undergraduate degree in Colorado. She immigrated to Canada in 1974 where she obtained a Masters degree in history and a law degree from the University of Toronto.

Sean joined IJM in 2000 as the first Field Office Director in Manila, the Philippines, following which he moved to Thailand to lead IJM’s team there in combating sex trafficking of children. Sean has since served IJM in increasingly senior leadership capacities as Director of Operations for Southeast Asia, Senior Vice President of Justice Operations, and, most recently, Chief Administrative Officer.
Prior to IJM, Sean worked as an associate at the law firm Kirkland & Ellis in Washington, DC, and he served as associate pastor for youth at Christ Church in Roswell, New Mexico.
Sean received a B.S. in Business Administration from Miami University and a J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School. Sean currently lives in the Washington, DC area, with his wife and three children.

Mr. Haugen received a B.A. in Social Studies, magna cum laude, from Harvard University, and a J.D. from the University of Chicago, cum laude, where he was the Ford Foundation Scholar in International Law. He also served as the Visiting Scholar in Politics at the University of Adelaide in Australia.

Until April of 1997, Mr. Haugen was a Senior Trial Attorney with the Police Misconduct Task Force of the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. When Congress granted the Attorney General new authority to pursue enforcement action against police departments with a "pattern or practice" of misconduct, Mr. Haugen was selected to serve on a small task force with national enforcement authority.
In 1994, Mr. Haugen was detailed from the U.S. Department of Justice to the United Nation's Center for Human Rights where he served as the Officer in Charge of the U.N.'s genocide investigation in Rwanda. During the fall of 1994, he directed an international team of lawyers, criminal prosecutors, law enforcement officers, and forensics experts in the gathering of evidence against the perpetrators of the Rwandan genocide. Mr. Haugen developed the investigative strategy, protocols, and field methodology for developing eye-witness testimony and physical evidence from nearly a hundred mass grave and massacre sites across Rwanda. He also personally directed and conducted field investigations at various sites.
Before joining the U.S. Department of Justice, Mr. Haugen worked for the Lawyers Committee for Human Rights, based in New York. In the late 1980's, his work focused on a structural examination of the Philippine government's prosecution of human rights abuses committed by the police and military. In his work, Mr. Haugen investigated multiple murders and other violent abuses by the military and police, participated in the exhumations of victims, and in the provision of protection services for witnesses. Out of his analysis, Mr. Haugen authored a book published by the Lawyers Committee entitled Impunity: Human Rights Prosecutions in the Philippines.
In the mid-1980's, Mr. Haugen served on the executive committee of the National Initiative for Reconciliation in South Africa. The NIR, chaired by then-Bishop Desmond Tutu and Michael Cassidy of African Enterprise, was a movement of Christian leaders devoted to the cause of political reform and racial reconciliation.
Mr. Haugen currently serves on the Human Rights Leadership Coalition and on the Board of the Overseers of the Berkeley Journal of International Law. Mr. Haugen is the 2007 recipient of Prison Fellowship's annual William Wilberforce Award, recognizing an individual who has made a difference in the face of formidable societal problems and injustices. At a 2005 event sponsored by former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, he moderated a panel discussion on sex trafficking between Senators Hillary Clinton and Sam Brownback.
Mr. Haugen and the work of IJM have been featured by the "Today Show", "The Oprah Winfrey Show", Dateline NBC, FOX News, MSNBC, CNN, National Public Radio, Forbes Magazine and The New York Times. Mr. Haugen has authored numerous articles on foreign affairs, international law and human rights. His latest book, The Locust Effect (2014), examines why the end of poverty requires the end of everyday violence against the poor. Mr. Haugen currently resides in the Washington, DC, area with his family.
