Toronto, ON, 04 November 2019 – Human trafficking knows no borders, and Canadians are becoming increasingly aware of the many forms of exploitation occurring throughout the world and within our own country.
On Thursday, November 7, 2019, NourishHope will host a special fundraising event at The Grand Salon, 20 Toronto Street, Toronto, for International Justice Mission Canada (IJM Canada), a non-profit organization whose goal is to end human trafficking and slavery in our lifetime.
This special evening will feature a reception and dinner program hosted by CTV’s Pauline Chan.
Anu George Canjanathoppil, Executive Director of IJM Canada, will be the keynote speaker.
The evening will also feature a powerful Oculus Virtual Reality exhibit affording guests the opportunity to experience a forced labour situation.
Basil Phoenix from CTV's The Launch will perform. Special guests in attendance will be Attorney General Doug Downey; Colin Stevenson, President of the Ontario Bar Association; Rhonelle Bruder, founder of the Rise Initiative; Justin Poy, Honorary Patron of Asian Heritage Month; and Fashion Designer Christopher Paunil.
