A Message from Ed Wilson

Video Transcript: My name is Ed Wilson, former executive director of International Justice Mission Canada. I stepped into this role five years ago with a vision to rally Canadians to solve the problem of violence against the poor in the developing world.

Today, thousands of Canadians know that IJM Canada can be trusted to fulfill their aspirations to be part of solving the problem of violence against the poor. Vulnerable children, women and men around the world in places like Uganda, Thailand, the Philippines and India understand that Canadians care about their safety and security.

The time has come for me to step aside to make way for the next leader of IJM Canada. The Board of IJM Canada has been involved in a diligent search for several months for the next leader of this organization.

Until that process is concluded, Kevin Dixon will serve as acting executive director of IJM Canada. I’ve worked with Kevin for the last three and a half years as VP of Programs and Operations, and I know that Kevin can be trusted to provide wise and capable leadership during this interim period.

The team that I’ve built over the last five years will continue to serve you well as you seek to be part of solving the problem of violence against the poor in the developing world.
