What is Firestarters?
In a world where vulnerable people are frequently victims of everyday violence, the difference between life and death, justice and injustice, often depends on whether or not someone can show up on their behalf.
Firestarters is a passionate initiative that empowers parents and their children to make a difference in the world by becoming an advocate, raising awareness and participating in fundraising efforts to join the fight against human trafficking and slavery.
We believe that you have the power to be a spark for change. We have seen teens making and selling cards, participating in Dressember and a variety of other creative events to support IJM in the fight against human trafficking and slavery. By raising money for the cause, you play an important role in bringing freedom to people all over the world.
Why Join Firestarters?
We understand the importance of involving families in social causes. Firestarters provides a platform for parents and children to work together for the cause you are both passionate about.
Through engaging materials, survivor stories and guest speakers, you will gain a deeper understanding of social justice issues and the importance of taking action.
By partnering with IJM Canada your efforts directly contribute to the fight against human trafficking and slavery around the world.
Building Leadership Skills
Through organizing fundraisers and participating in initiatives, you will develop leadership and organizational skills, turning ordinary activities into extraordinary opportunities for change.
Firestarters fosters a sense of purpose and connection to a global community of like-minded young advocates. Together, we create a ripple effect of change within communities, fostering a sense of responsibility and solidarity.
Get Involved with Firestarters
