Yes, You Can Do Something!
All it takes is a conviction in your heart that you can do something to fight for justice.
That has certainly been true for Barb throughout her many years living in Calgary. “Justice for the vulnerable is important to me,” she says. Through various jobs at libraries, law enforcement and local government, Barb has been able to work for justice and invest in her local community.
But it’s not just local justice she’s concerned about. When she heard IJM speak at her church over 30 years ago, Barb became determined to do whatever she could for justice around the world. “I am not in a position to physically [fight trafficking],” she says, “but I can financially support those who do.”
So she became a Freedom Partner—a monthly donor—over a decade ago and has been a passionate advocate ever since. “I advertise IJM regularly to my friends and family,” says Barb. Not just because she believes in the work, but also because “monthly gifts provide the needed stability and makes it easier to make plans for future rescue missions.”
So to anyone (including you!) who has even the smallest conviction in their heart to pursue justice, this is Barb’s message: “Nowadays so many want to see justice in the world, and here is an organization who is focusing on justice!”
And we couldn’t do it without steadfast supporters like Barb, her fellow Freedom Partners, and you! Thank you!
