7 Surprising Facts About Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery

Kolkata is home to one of India’s largest red-light districts. Young women and girls without a support network are trafficked, sold to brothels, and exploited in the commercial sex industry.


Human trafficking is a global epidemic, and persists most in countries with broken justice systems.


At IJM Canada, our goal is to put an end to this devastating form of modern slavery and rally Canadian supporters and advocates to stand with us.
