Randy Watson

Randy Watson

Director, Global & Local Impact at Village Church in Surrey, BC

Randy has led international mission trips and natural disaster relief work for the past twelve years. Since a young age, he worked in the construction and development industry, eventually becoming a partner in a thriving custom-home business. Two years ago, he felt challenged to pursue his passion of justice work full-time and stepped down from the company to establish the global and local mission vision for Village Church.

Randy wants every person to experience Jesus outside of their cultural norm. His own international experiences have shaped his worldview, work ethic and passion for people and he wants others to experience the same. Randy thinks one of the first steps to learning how to love one another better involves stepping out of our cultural comforts. Randy lives in Langley with his wife, Jamie. He is honoured to be a part of the team at Village Church and believes it’s an incredible privilege to serve full time in this way.

Since 2015, Village Church has partnered with IJM Canada, raising over $650,000 to bring rescue and restoration to victims of slavery and sex trafficking in both Chennai and Kolkata, India. The entire team at Village Church is passionate about the work of IJM and thankful to be able to partner in this important work.
