David Pollendine

Director of Development and Mobilization, Prairies

David has several years’ experience working with a range of charities in the UK and abroad, and has traveled to many countries and cultures where the need is greater than at home. Most recently, he worked for Christian Aid in the UK, where he ran an intergenerational arts project with local schools to commemorate 70 years of fighting poverty. Together, participants created an art installation that was displayed in public spaces across London. David has an MA in Applied Drama and loves dreaming up ideas where drama and creative arts intersect to form a catalyst for transformation. In 2016, David began working for St John Ambulance, raising funds and awareness to train and educate people in first aid.

David is married to Irfana, and they have two children, Zara (10) and Zane (7). Following 10 years of consideration, they made the big decision to relocate from London, England to Winnipeg, MB in 2017, to be closer to family in Canada. He is passionate about speaking up for those who have no voice, whether fighting injustice on a global scale, or just in his own neighbourhood. David is excited to connect with individuals, churches, and organizations in Saskatchewan and Manitoba who share in this vision of bringing justice to communities and ‘setting the captives free.’
