Good News About Injusticeby Gary Haugen

Interspersed with individual stories of specific abuse, this book chronicles the vision behind IJM's work and seeks to tackle tragic injustices with practical insight, answering tough questions regarding the nature of injustice and the Biblical mandate for Christians to confront it. NOTE: Contains questions for each chapter to facilitate small group discussion.

Just Courageby Gary Haugen

IJM President Gary Haugen leads the reader on a journey to freedom and courage from the triviality and fear that often tries to stifle our walk with God and our impact in the world. Haugen explores how engaging in the fight for justice is the most deeply satisfying way to live life.

Terrify No Moreby Gary Haugen

This gripping book documents the events of IJM's groundbreaking work in Cambodia through an account of IJM's efforts to rescue young girls from forced prostitution in Svay Pak, Cambodia and introduces readers to new heroes of the faith.

The Locust Effectby Gary Haugen

When locusts descended on the American Midwest in 1875, they didn’t just devour crops and forests. They destroyed years of hard-earned progress from settlers struggling to build a better life. In the same way, everyday violence is destroying the efforts of millions trying to rise out of poverty today. And because they are unsafe, the poor cannot benefit from the world’s best efforts to help them thrive. More than just a book, The Locust Effect represents a new approach to ending global poverty—and a bold call to end violence against the poor.

The Just Churchby Jim Martin

This book from IJM's Jim Martin shares tangible, accessible strategies to help your church respond to God's call to seek justice... in far-off places and right in your own community.

Deepening the Soul for Justiceby Bethany Hoang

This "mini-book" from IJM's Bethany Hoang shares spiritual disciplines and the encouragement of faith for the justice-seeker. Renew your spirit with this helpful resource for the Christian seeking sustenance in the justice journey.

Curriculums and Studies

God of Justiceby Abraham George & Nikki Toyama-Szeto

This twelve-session church-wide discussion-based curriculum from IJM is meant to inspire students, parents, leaders and families to make justice their mission. God of Justice explores the biblical narrative of justice from Genesis to Revelation. Through the participatory study of Scripture, Christians will explore God's call to engage in bringing about justice on earth. While coming to a deeper knowledge and understanding of biblical justice, participants will draw personal application for the pursuit of justice ministry in their individual lives and the wider church.

Take Action

Community Justice Assessment

The Community Justice Assessment (CJA) is a tool for churches who are ready to explore the unique justice challenges in their own community. This resource helps churches identify key issues of concern, build expertise on specific issues of injustice and existing resources, develop relationships with groups/individuals who are already working in their community and design an appropriate and effective response. The CJA allows churches to slow down and become students of their community before jumping into action.

24JE toolkit

The 24 Hour Justice Experience (24JE) is everything you need to ignite this generation of justice-seekers. Contact our team if you have more questions: 24JE@IJM.caTo download 24JE logos, please click here.

Praying for Justice

Praying for Justice is a communal prayer event based on the prayer that Jesus taught his disciples – The Lord’s Prayer. Many of us have a deep familiarity with The Lord’s Prayer; however, we seldom consider that this is a passionate prayer for justice. If you desire to engage your faith community in the work of justice, or if you want to develop a broader and more robust prayer base for the justice work you’re already engaged in, Praying for Justice is a great starting point.
