Job Posting: Human Resources Generalist

The Mission

International Justice Mission is a global organization that protects the poor from violence throughout the developing world. IJM partners with local authorities to rescue victims of violence, bring criminals to justice, restore survivors, and strengthen justice systems. International Justice Mission Canada shares this mission. The largest organization of its kind, IJM combats slavery, sex trafficking, sexual violence, police brutality, property grabbing and other forms of violence in 17 regions throughout Africa, Latin America, South Asia and Southeast Asia.

The Need

After nearly two decades of continued growth and operational success in pioneering the work of protecting the poor from violence, IJM has become an $80 million organization with 1000 global employees.

As IJM continues this trajectory of growth and scaling of its impact, IJM Canada’s Executive Director is seeking a strategic and innovative HR Generalist to translate IJM’s vision into HR initiatives that will improve performance and employee engagement. Further, this position will be responsible to support the implementation of global processes such as leadership development etc. in the region and adhere to Global Standards and HR reporting. This role is also responsible for maintaining and enhancing IJM Canada’s human resources by planning, implementing, developing and maintaining employee relations, human resource policies, procedures, and practices in Canada.

This position is based at IJM Canada Headquarters in the Greater Toronto - Mississauga Area and reports to the Executive Director of Canada.
