After more than two years of abuse, Nary and several other girls were rescued through an IJM operation in 2003. Sharon Cohn Wu, now IJM North America’s President, was central to this rescue and had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be reunited with Nary. Sharon reflects, “As a person of faith, reconnecting with Nary [was]… an incredible kindness of God to reaffirm the hope in my heart of what’s possible and what He can do.”
