Ed Wilson, Director of Development and Operations of International Justice Mission Canada, is dedicated to building the capacity of IJM Canada to provide tangible intervention and support to those who are suffering injustice and oppression. Prior to joining the staff of IJM Canada, Ed served for four years as Executive Director of a nonprofit organization, and for 17 years before that as pastor of three churches in Ontario. He has a long history of involvement in social justice initiatives in his own community, and has led several missions to developing countries. He brings to his work and speaking engagements a blend of motivational, instructional and leadership gifts.
Ed and his wife Judy are parents of three adult children. Ed also serves on the Board of Directors of Waterloo Regional Homes for Mental Health, a supportive housing provider for persons with serious mental illness.
Ed’s recreational pursuit is distance running. He appreciates that IJM Canada takes the attitude of a marathon runner in pursuit of its goals—patient, determined effort on the behalf of victims of injustice, resulting in their rescue one-by-one while steadily building a movement of social and spiritual change.
