Children
Are you a kid? Do you want to help fight slavery?
In addition to our Loose Change to Loosen Chains program, there are many different ways you can get involved and help IJM Canada end slavery:
-
Learn about slavery. Get to know the facts and then tell other people about what you've learned.
-
Read books or stories about kids in slavery. You can start by reading Kumar's story.
-
Start a Justice Club at your school or church that teaches other people about slavery.
-
Start a Loose Change to Loosen Chains campaign! Learn more about how your loose change can help loosen the chains of slaves around the world here.
-
Raise awarenss in your community by hosting an event, like a bike-a-thon, a walk, a bake sale, or a talent show. These events are a great way to educate people about slavery and raise money to free more slaves.
Kids of any age can make a difference.
In fact, watch this video that 7-year-old Hannah made with her parents. After you've watched it, think of your own creative ways you can help end slavery:
For parents:
*IJM Canada believes that the pursuit of justice is an essential aspect of the Christian faith, so we are dedicated to helping younger children learn about God’s heart for justice. In order to provide resources that are age appropriate, the majority of children’s resources will focus on slavery.
